Halloween at the Maryland Science Center was unreal. We played under a T-Rex for a 2,250-person sold out crowd; Greg couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. Our “Science”-themed set featured first-time covers of Thomas Dolby’s “She Blinded Me With Science,” The Who’s “Sparks,” and David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” Two mad scientists appeared during the Dolby cover and wowed the crowd with wild illusions. And during the double encore of “Space Oddity>Horizon,” the top half of our mannequin, Emu the Glorious, magically blasted off into the balcony at Bowie’s lyrics “3..2..1..Lift-off” leaving behind his heart-shaped boxers and legs. Needless to say, you had to be there.
